Senetas is delighted to have been named an Export Champion in the 2020 Governor of Victoria Export Awards. Announced on 25th November 2020, the awards celebrate Victorian businesses that were able to demonstrate resilience, innovation and adaptability in meeting the challenges presented by coronavirus.
Resilience
Senetas maintains a robust, pro-active risk management strategy to protect the company from unexpected threats to business continuity. Considered an essential service by global organisations, including the Australia government, continuity and quality of service remain a business imperative. In addition to systems availability and failover, we were able to rapidly scale our standard remote working policies to ensure employees across the business were able to carry on business as usual. Secure access to business critical systems was made available to sales, engineering and administrative staff across Australia, UK, US and Singapore.
Innovation
Despite the challenges facing global businesses in the past year, Senetas has continued to deliver innovative security solutions to the market. In addition to ground-breaking advances in our hardware encryption portfolio, we have added significantly to SureDrop, our encrypted file-sharing and collaboration solution. SureDrop now benefits from seamless integration with all Microsoft Office enterprise applications, providing enhanced collaboration capabilities. Recognising the increased risk of cyberattacks during a remote working revolution, we also incorporated award-winning anti-malware software to the SureDrop platform.
Adaptability
2020 posed more than a few business challenges, from revenue-impacting conditions to reduced communication throughout the supply chain. A rapidly introduced financial strategy has reaped benefits, with capital expenditure on non-essential items minimized and no staff cuts necessary. Revenue forecasts are actually above pre-COVID levels, with expenditure below forecast. Operations have been maintained with 100% of product shipments, local and export, being met. We also introduced new marketing automation capabilities to maintain contact with prospects and partners, without the need for face-to-face engagement.
